He graduated in 1986 from McGill University with a Master of Business Administration and in 1984 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, with Distinction.  Mr. Friend obtained the designation of Certified Management Consultant and Chartered Administrator.  He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation.  Based in Montreal, he is bilingual in spoken and written French and English.
